Project M.E.D.,

Motivate, Educate, and Develop (M.E.D.) is a program developed by the Baton Rouge City Constable's Office and funded by the Governor's Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Program.

Project M.E.D. targets East Baton Rouge Parish School 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Such core subjects as reading, math and English are taught, along with instruction on study skills, self esteem and anti-drug, alcohol, tobacco and violence issues.

Classes are limited to 30 students per session. Each session consist of approximately 85 classroom hours. There are three sessions held per year.

Parental support is relied upon to provide transportation to and from classes, which are held at the Baton Rouge City Constable's Office Community Services Center located in the Mall at Cortana entrance #5.

These Classes are offered FREE of charge.

Sessions will begin in the fall to coincide with the school year.
